More Internet Income for You: Don’t Stomp The Ants

  • Tom - Entrepreneur Interview · 1 year ago
What great thought! I have recently made the change to start "hunting the elephants' and that has forced me not to log onto msn, and focus more on the things that will bring me traffic and money.

I enjoyed your writeup, however, I also think I should point out that some businesses ARE email based (we have several) and tons of phone time. Just so long as whatever it is you choose to do, from surfing Stumble to commenting on blogs to blogging for yourself that you spend quality time (not quantity time) doing it :)

Your tips extremely genuine and I thought it will work for every one who want to do a genuine networking.
    Thank you

I do not know what you refer to as advertizing. I like your idea about having clear goals for your time though.

I'm sorry, but my experience tells me you are dead wrong. Today the Internet is filled with people suffering from acute Advertising Blindness and your two hours is going to be time I could spend stomping ants and building relationships. But that's what makes the Internet so good, there is room for all opinions.

i couldn't agree with you more. If you don't advertise, you might as well shut down your site or sites. This was an excellent post and I appreciate you taking the time to write it. I will continue to go after the elephants and leave the ants alone.

Procrastination is the worst thing that the computers brought us. I mean how are you supposed to focus on your work when there's so much other interesting stuff going on all around the web?

Every time I gear up to hunt the elephants I feel too much self resistance. I guess I just don't have the will power or motivation others enjoy. I have to take baby steps and start with smashing ants then beetles, then tarantulas... and I work up bigger from there. At least to get me past that initial stand still. Once my confidence is up a little I can truly focus on the elephants.

I enjoyed this article, but especially the part about advertising.

You have got it spot on, if people aren't seeing your ads then you aint got a hope in hell of earning any money.

Yes, you have to do the important stuff first - otherwise your time will go and you will have nothing to show for it

I know someone who does not read his email until his days work is done - that way he does not get distracted from performing his "core" business activities

I agree that we should spend more time to drive traffic to our website. However, most of us, like myself, always tend to spend too much time raeding our emails and always trying to buy the best products. And neglecting our time and effort to build our internet business.
